Interview with Copywriter Relly Annett-Baker

Boagworld Web Design Advice has a Podcast interview with copywriter Relly Annett-Baker of PoppyCopy. Some points she made:

  • A potential customer's first encounter with your product may be on the web.
  • Copy written for the web can be longer than copy written for print. But it must keep the reader engaged and convince the reader to contact your company or to make a purchase.
  • When writing copy for the web you must know who the target audience is. You can clarify that through a simple exercise; write a letter to your best customer.

To fast forward to the interview with Relly go to 19:00.

Creative Parenting Workshop

Carolyn Tal, who writes our Coaching column here on Elephant is offering a unique course on parenting in December. What kind of parent are you? What kind of parent would you like to be?

Parenting is one of the most significant and longest roles in our lives.

Our parenting can be a source of great pride.

It can also be one of the strongest flashpoints within couples.

And yet, how much time do we take to think about this role proactively?

How much of this role is planned, and how much is done through "crisis management"?

How can we develop our parenting?

How can we give new or additional meaning to our parenting?

Carolyn Tal, PhD and Eran Hadomi, MSW offer introductory workshops in "Creative Parenting", intentionally creating the parenting role you would like for yourself, with your partner.

Both partners must participate.

Couples who complete the introductory workshop may register for the Creative Parenting course.

Our next workshop will be Friday morning, December 5, 2008 from 9-12.

Location: Mercaz Pnima, 18 Hillel Street, Haifa.

Cost: 450 NIS per couple, including Ma'am. Light refreshments will be served.

Background of facilitators:

Carolyn Tal, PhD brings over 20 years experience as clinical psychologist, mediator, organizational consultant, and professional coach. Carolyn consults, coaches, and leads workshops in maximizing adult development.
