Resource Development Officer for EcoPeace Middle East

Job Description

The Resource Development Officer helps to further advance the mission of EcoPeace Middle East through seeking financial support for organization programs. Resource Development Officer maintains full responsibility of all aspects of resource development, fundraising, and donor relationship management for EcoPeace’s three regional offices in Tel Aviv, Bethlehem, and Amman. Including timely grant-writing and maintaining donor relations nationally, regionally, and internationally.

Duties and Responsibilities related to Resource Development

  • Maintain detailed work plan of upcoming proposal and funding opportunities
  • Coordinate meetings with potential donors for directors locally and internationally
  • Coordinate proposal input and development among office staff in response to funding opportunities
  • Write letter of interests, concept notes, and full proposals for funding (est. 4-8/month)
  • Design budgets in coordination with accountants, program coordinators, and procurement officers across the three offices
  • Maintain relevant registrations on award management systems (i.e., PADOR)
  • Follow up with donors
  • Maintain database of all grants and funding requests submitted
  • Run annual crowd funding campaigns and holiday-season campaigns

Duties and Responsibilities related to Customer Relationship Management

  • Operate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) efforts on cloud-based business software (NetSuite)
  • Maintain database of contacts
  • Design and distribute campaigns and newsletter through the CRM system
  • Utilize software to track on-going communication with contacts and donors

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate among three offices in the production of a monthly newsletter, compile information from program staff and distribute to newsletter contacts
  • Assist in upgrade and redesign of organization website

Knowledge and Skills

  • Education Bachelor degree required in relevant field, master degree is an advantage
  • 3-5 years of fundraising experience
  • Fluency in English is required. Arabic and/or Hebrew is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent relationship-building skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines, read and interpret documents, perform highly detailed work and mathematical functions; withstand stress and handle multiple, concurrent tasks
  • Strong knowledge of marketing and fund development techniques
  • High level experience with software: Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), database, desktop publishing
  • Preferable experience with NetSuite or other CRM software
  • Ability to develop, implement and manage work and project plans and perform with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • High understanding for cultural differences and an ability to work with diverse constituency
  • Web development, PR and marketing, or publishing experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm and commitment to resource development and the work of the organization
