for a full time position in Tel Aviv. As the Technical Writer, you will be solely responsible for the creation and production of the company’s technical documentation, covering every product line and ongoing product improvements. Because product implementation rests largely on your documentation, your writing must be clear, thorough, technically accurate and targeted to the end-user.

This is a key role on the product marketing team. Because the business is scaling rapidly, we are looking for a talented writer with a depth of technical knowledge who is excited about taking a proactive approach to their work. The Technical Writer will interact on a daily basis with the Israel-based product managers, developers and the product marketing team in the US.

Responsibilities & duties

* Create and/or updating the relevant technical documentation when a product feature goes live, within a reasonable time frame of deployment * Write according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology. * Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers or personnel

§ Confer with business owners & product group members to establish technical specifications and to determine the subject material to be developed for publication.

§ Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction and binding

§ Select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material outlined in the document.

§ Study the line of products in detail

§ Interview production and engineering personnel, read journals and other material to become familiar with product technologies and production methods

§ Assist in laying out material for publication

Requirements

* Significant experience in technical documentation of internet-based, high-tech products * American English - Mother tongue level * Accuracy and attention to details * Quick learner * Ability to document information offsite * Experience in marketing writing a plus

Need MEGAComm Presenter for short session

Hi everyone, MEGAComm is next Thursday, February 27th at the Ramada Renaissance Hotel.

We have two guests (from Adobe and Madcap) coming to Israel to make presentations and we've decided to include a 5th "short" session of 30 minutes to give them an opportunity to present their latest/greatest applications. In the case of Adobe, this will be Technical Communication Suite 5, released last month. And, in Madcap's case, this will be the first time they are introducing the soon-to-be-released Flare 10.

To balance this, I want to add a 30 minute MARCOM-related presentation. I was thinking of something like Networking Tips and Tricks. The session will be at the tail end of lunch - for those who feel that the break is too long, the short session will fill this time nicely; for those who want a longer lunch break, lunch will continue to be served during this time.

So - I need ideas and volunteers for this session. If you have any ideas for a 30 minute, non-technical writing session, please email me ASAP. I'm posting the final program
