Quiet in the South

Sunday 18th January, a group of soldiers and an electrician stopped by to do maintenance work on the local bomb shelter. It was very much appreciated as there was no lighting or plumbing. They gave it a much needed coat of paint, repaired the electricals and fitted lamps.

Monday 19th January, the quietest day in three weeks. Schools started opening in the Ashqelon Beach council region on Sunday, a relief for many parents.

Tuesday 20th January, a quiet day again, nursery schools and perhaps other schools are still closing early but we expect them to have regular hours in a couple of days. Some shops were closing before dark but they should return to regular hours soon. We know that the terrorism is not over but at least we can live again for a while.
